Scene: Colbyco Oil Rig off the coast of Lampung, Sumatra, Indonesia…..

Heinrich Haufmann (on his cellphone): Well? Is it done?
Agawarman Amini It is done.

(meanwhile at Jessica Reckell’s home/Alliance for Earth Headquarters – Ketchum, Idaho)

Jessica Reckell: Well?

Heinrich Haufmann: Everything’s all set, my darling. The bomb has been planted.

Jessica Reckell: How far down?
Heinrich Haufmann: He said about 20 Meters. Roughly 65 feet.
Jessica Reckell: Good. Where we failed with Denver-Carrington, maybe we will succeed with Colbyco. Colbyco is on the brink of collapse. This will be sure to bring Alexis Colby to her knees.
Heinrich Haufmann: And maybe THIS will get some of the other fat cats to put an end to some of these senseless projects that continue to rape our planet.
Jessica Reckell: When is the Sumatra Rig set to explode?
Heinrich Haufmann: According to Amini, the rig will be detonated at 7:00 PM Sumatra time, which is 6:00 AM here. (takes Jessica Reckell in his arms) Don’t worry. We can make it look like an accident.
Jessica Reckell (kisses Heinrich): Good. Now. Let’s go to bed.
(meanwhile at the Colbyco rig – 1900 hours Sumatra time, 0600 Denver time)
Agawarman Amini (uses his cellphone to set off an incendiary device): Now. It’s done.

Heinrich Haufmann (dials his cellphone): Well?
Agawarman Amini: I did it. The Colbyco rig has been destroyed.
Heinrich Haufmann: Excellent. I’ll let Jessica know.
(meanwhile back at Alliance for Earth headquarters)
Jessica: Is it done?
Heinrich Haufmann (in bed with Jessica Reckell): It is. Colbyco doesn’t know it yet, but they are about to receive a major black eye.
Jessica Reckell (kisses Heinrich): Good. Then. We go after Denver-Carrington in Montezuma County. What about your friend Agawarman Amini?
Heinrich Haufmann: He assures me that this well help his revolution to succeed in Indonesia and that all the oil industry fat cats will be forced to leave the country.
(a few minutes later at the Carrington mansion Golden, Colorado)

Patrick (waking up and sees his cellphone buzzing across his nightstand): Babe. Can you get that for me?

Leslie: Sure. Hello?

Ed McCormick: Leslie. It’s Ed.
Leslie: Ed. What’s going on?
Ed McCormick: Is Pat there?
Leslie: He’s right here. (hands Patrick his phone)
Patrick: Ed. What’s happening?
Ed McCormick: I just talked to one of our guys in the Far East.
Patrick: And?
Ed McCormick: Rig in Sumatra. There was a horrible explosion.
Patrick: Wait a minute. We don’t have any rigs in that part of the world. Whose was it?
Ed McCormick: It was a Colbyco rig.
Patrick: Does Alexis know yet?
Ed McCormick: Presumably not. I heard there were 5 killed and 15 injured.
Patrick: Any leads on who did it?
Ed McCormick: As a matter, I knew exactly who did it. His name is Agawarman Amini. He’s a Suharto loyalist and his ultimate goal is to force the current government of Indonesia out of power.
Patrick: That name sounds familiar. He’s been on the enemies’ list at Langley for years.
Ed McCormick: You’re gonna love this. He’s one of Jessica Reckell’s goons and he’s getting his marching orders from Heinrich Haufmann.
Patrick: Thanks for the tip, Ed. (hangs up his cellphone) JESUS CHRIST!!!
Leslie: Hun, what’s the matter?
Patrick: Jessica Reckell’s the matter.
Leslie: What’s she done now?
Patrick: Oh nothing. She just had one of her goons blow up an oil rig in Sumatra and it ended up with 15 people being hurt and 5 people being killed.
Leslie: Whose rig was it?
Patrick: It was a Colbyco rig. I know we took a hard line on Indonesia because Blake didn’t want to deal with the Suharto regime anymore. Whether it was Colbyco’s rig or ours doesn’t alter the fact that there are now 20 innocent people who, because of Jessica Reckell, are now either laying in a hospital somewhere or dead. Imagine if she had succeeded in Brazil. Not only would there be at least 20 people dead or hurt, but those 20 people would have been our friends.
Leslie: I know what you mean.
Patrick: What’s going to happen when Alexis finds out?
Leslie: I hate to think.
(meanwhile at Alexis’ office – Colbyco)

Alexis (on the phone): What???…..Exploded???…..Where???…..Sumatra??? How many?…..Oh my God! 15 injured and 5 dead???…..No idea who did this??? Well find out!!!! I want to know!!!! (hangs up her phone) I wonder if Patrick Jennings knows about this.

(meanwhile at Denver-Carrington Center)

Patrick (is in the office with Leslie, Jeff, L.B. and Allison): We need to make sure all our ducks are in a row as far as Indonesia is concerned. I know we’ve been talking for sometime about getting back in, but right now, I don’t think that’s a good idea.

Miranda: Guys. I hate to interrupt, but Ed McCormick’s on one.

Leslie: Thanks, Miranda. Put him through. We’ll put him on speaker.
Patrick: Ed. What’s happening?
Ed McCormick: Got an even hotter tip for you. The Indonesian Government is going into emergency session in Jakarta. They’re going to be meeting to discuss whether or not they should force Colbyco to pull out.
Jeff: I heard that. Are you serious?
Ed McCormick: Yeah. It’s no joke, Jeff. Indonesia has a bad enough reputation as it is and they could be looking for a scapegoat to save face..
Greg Palkot: Fox News at this hour. I’m Chief Foreign Correspondent Greg Palkot. The death toll continues to rise as a result of the disastrous explosion of a Colbyco oil rig off the coast of Sumatra. At this hour, there are now believed to be 20 people dead and 25 injured. Efforts have been made to reach embattled Colbyco CEO Alexis Colby, but to no avail. This explosion comes on the heels of Colbyco coming under threat of a hostile takeover. We have also learned that government of Indonesia is going into emergency session to discuss the possibility of forcing the Denver-based oil giant to pull out.

John Ross (comes into the office): What the hell’s goin’ on?? Indonesia’s gonna make Colbyco pull out?

Patrick: That’s the way it’s looking right now.
John Ross: Damn! We still have some oil leases there that my Daddy secured years ago.
Greg Palkot: The possible pullout is not believed to include any other U.S. companies. Other companies such as Colbyco’s main competitor Denver-Carrington and Dallas-based Ewing Energies are known to have a small presence in the island nation of 263 million people – the fourth most populated country on Earth. Now the scene behind me is really getting ugly. Protestors have taken to the streets and they are shouting “Pulang ke rumah, Colbyco”, which means Colbyco go home. Greg Palkot Fox News Jakarta, Indonesia.

Patrick: There you have it. What do you think?
John Ross: That coulda been my cousin’s rig. I think Psycho Bitch has gone way too far.
Leslie: I say we maintain the hard line that Blake drew.
Allison: I know you guys were talking about maybe venturing back into Indonesia at some point. I would hold off on that until further notice, but I think we should honor the deals we have going now.
Jeff: L.B. What do we have going in Indonesia right now?
L.B.: We only have a couple of deals, Dad, but they expire in 2020.
Patrick: Well then, Pup. I would heed your wife’s advice and just honor the deals we have going now and that’s it…..for now.
L.B.: Agreed. I don’t think it will really hurt Denver-Carrington’s bottom line if we stay out of Indonesia completely. For good.
Patrick: All right then. Get with Emily in P.R. and have her issue a statement to that effect.
L.B.: You got it, Uncle Pat.
(a few minutes later in the Denver-Carrington press room)

Emily: It is the position of Denver-Carrington that in the wake of the Colbyco rig disaster, we will take on no new business in Indonesia until further notice. However, all contracts we have will continue to be honored until their expiration. Thank you.
