Scene:  Deveraux Group Offices – Denver-Carrington Center…..

Dominique (sitting at her desk):  Hello, Ladies.  Please come in.

Leslie (comes in with Sandra, Terry and Bobbie):  Hello, Dominique.

Dominique:  Leslie.  It’s good to see you.  And Terry.  It’s always a pleasure.

Terry:  Hello, Dominque.

Dominique:  You must be Bobbie Rivers.  I remember you from the press conference the other day.

Bobbie:  That’s right, Mrs. Kimball.

Dominique:  Dominique.  Please.

Sandra:  Dominique.  There’s something we need to talk about.

Dominique:  Well…..tell me dear.  What is it?

Sandra:  Do you remember when the Rourkes were here the other week?

Dominique:  Yes I do.

Leslie (whispers to Sandra):  Just tell her.

Sandra:  Dominique.  About 30 years ago,  I  was unfaithful to Milton.

Dominique:  Oh my God!

Sandra:  And I was unfaithful with Calvin Rourke.  Milton was deployed.  Calvin was there and we…..What I’m saying concerns Bobbie.

Dominique:  Sandra are you telling me…..?

Sandra:  I’m telling you that Bobbie Rivers is my daughter and Calvin Rourke is the father.

Dominque:  My God!

Bobbie:  Growing up, I didn’t know it, but then my grandmother told me the truth before she died and my mother would come to see me from time to time.

Dominique:  I see.  Does Milton know?

Leslie:  Milton knows Dominique.  He and Sandra talked about it a few weeks ago.  And he has forgiven her.

Terry:  Dominique?  can you find it in your heart to forgive Sandra.

Dominique:  I have done similar things in past, so, I understand what Sandra was feeling.  Yes.  I do forgive you, Sandra and thank you for telling me.  (exchanges hugs with Sandra).  Bobbie.  Welcome to our family, dear.  (then hugs Bobbie)  Terry.  If you don’t mind me asking.  How do you and Bobbie know one another?

Terry:  We went to the same college, the University of Missouri and we were both Journalism majors.  Bobby graduated a few years before I did.

Bobbie:  We also belonged to the same Sorority.  Zeta Tau Alpha.

Terry (and Bobbie in unison start to recite the ZTA Creed):  To realize that within our grasp lies the opportunity to learn those things which will enrich and enable our lives.  (they then do a ZTA cheer)  We’re the Zeta ladies and no one could be prouder!!!  If you can not hear us, we’ll shout a little louder!!!  (they then hug)

Dominique:  So…..Bobbie…..are you planning to move to Denver?

Bobbie:  I’d really kind of like to, yes.  I’d love to get to know my mother and all of you.  Well…..(smiles at Terry)…..I already know one of you. 🙂  (hands Dominique a resume)

Dominique (looking over Bobbie’s resume):  Hmmmm…..graduate of the University of Missouri…..from what Terry tells me, it’s one of the finest Journalism schools in the country.

Bobbie:  It is.

Dominique:  News Staff.  KOMU TV Columbia, Missouri…..with significant on air time.  I’m impressed so far.

Bobbie (looks at Terry):  That includes supervising a certain young intern that shall remain nameless.  🙂  Journalism majors are required to intern at the station since it’s actually owned by the university.

Dominque:  I see.  And your most recent employment has been with the Journal of Commerce in New York.  I’ve actually read some of your articles, Bobbie.  You really know your way around the world of business.

Bobbie:  Thank you, Dominique.

Dominique:  What are you planning to do when you move here?

Terry:  Well…..I was thinking about introducing Bobbie to Ray.  His Noon news anchor quit and moved to San Francisco.

Dominique:  I’ll tell you what.  I am looking for a Public Relations director.  Mine just quit to get married.  With your knowledge of business, you’d be perfect.  What do you think?

Terry:  Come on, Bobbie.  Take it.  Then we can all deal with that beyotch Alexis together.

Bobbie:  Alexis?  You mean Alexis Colby?

Dominique:  You know Alexis Colby?

Bobbie:  I certainly do.  I was offered a job at the Denver Mirror after I graduated.  When I found out who the Publisher was, I turned it down.  I interned in New York for The Wall Street Journal my Junior year and I found something out about Alexis Colby.  More specifically how she came to be in charge of Colbyco?

Leslie: Oh really.

Sandra:  Come on tell us.

Terry:  You’ve got dirt on Alexis?  Cool.  🙂

Dominique:  Bobbie what do you have?

Bobbie:  Well…..you know how Alexis married Cecil Colby on his deathbed?

Dominique:  Yes.

Bobbie:  Well did you also know that Alexis had been planning a hostile takeover of Colbyco, but she realized that she didn’t have the votes?  That’s when she hatched the plan to marry him and worm her way in through his will.

Dominique:  What???

Leslie:  Now it all makes sense.

Bobbie:  I also found out that if Cecil Colby had survived that heart attack, then she would have tried to take over control of Colbyco due to his diminished health.

Sandra:  Typical Alexis Colby style.

Terry:  Tell me about it.

Dominique:  Bobbie.  You never answered me about the job.  You will take it?

Bobbie:  Absolutely, yes.  I will take it.

Sandra:  Welcome to the Deveraux Group.

Bobbie:  Now that I’m moving to Denver, I’ll need to find a place to live.

Dominique:  That’s not a problem.  You’ll live with us at Deveraux Manor.

Bobbie:  Are you sure?

Dominique:  We insist, dear.

Bobbie:  Then I accept.  🙂  (she then hugs Dominique and then Sandra)

 

(a few minutes later)

Alexis:  Well…..well…..well.  What do we have here?  The former company whore and the second rate lounge act.

Dominique:  What the hell do you want??

Alexis:  I also see the girl who married your bastard son and, as it turns out, has a bastard daughter herself.  So what do you think of daughter-in-law now, Dominique?

Leslie:  Sorry, Alexis, but you’re too late.

Alexis:  And what business is it of yours?

Leslie:  Dominique and Sandra are my friends.

Dominique:  I already know about it.  Sandra told me everything.

Sandra:  And before you go making any more accusations, I’ve told Milton everything.

Bobbie:  I’ve found out quite a few things about you , Lady.

Alexis:  Oh really?

Dominique:  Don’t push us, Alexis because, as I’m sure you’re aware, we fight back.

Terry:  You can see yourself out, Beyotch!

 

(meanwhile upstairs in Patrick and Leslie’s office)

 

Patrick (hears his cellphone ringing):  Hello?

Ed McCormick:  Pat it’s Ed.

Ed:  Well…..I’ve been looking into Adam Carrington’s finances just like you asked and I found something interesting.

Patrick:  What’s that?

Ed:  It seems he somehow built up a war chest of about $100 Million and he stashed it in a numbered Swiss bank account.

Patrick:  Really?  Do you know which bank?

Ed:  Credit Suisse in Zurich.

Patrick:  No surprise there.

Ed:  Wait.  There’s more.

Patrick:  I can’t wait to hear this.

Ed:  It has since swelled to about $500 Million and he put another name on the account besides his own.

Patrick:  Another name?  Really?

Ed:  Yeah.  It seems that Adam secretly got married in 2008.  To a Miss Adrianna Carlucci in Milan.  Just to let you know.  She may be headed for Denver.

Patrick:  Thanks for the heads up.  You don’t think she’s related to Stefano Carlucci of the Italian Interministerial  committee for the security of the Republic do you?

Ed:  As a matter of fact, she is.  She’s his sister.

Patrick:  Interesting. We may have to get in contact with Stefano and find out what she’s been up to.

Ed:  Might not be a bad idea.

Patrick:  Well…..if you’re able to get in touch with him, please let me know and maybe we can talk to him together.

Ed:  Sounds good, Pat.  I’ll keep you posted.

Patrick:  Thanks, Ed.  Bye.  (hangs up his cellphone)  Well…..Adam.  I know one thing you’ve been hiding over the years.
